This policy explains the information The Bigger Table uses to operate the service, connect members, protect the community, and improve the product.
Information you provide
This may include your name, email address, ZIP code, profile information, skills, resources, availability, needs, photos, offers, messages, reviews, reports, and other information you choose to submit.
How information is used
We use information to provide accounts and profiles, show nearby needs using ZIP-code level location, match people with relevant opportunities to help, support messaging and reviews, prevent abuse, moderate reports, and maintain the service.
What other members can see
Member profiles may show a display name, general city/state, profile photo, skills, resources, help preferences, and community reputation. Exact addresses, account credentials, and private messages are not shown publicly to other members.
Safety and moderation
Reports and related information may be reviewed by authorized moderators to investigate abuse, enforce policies, and protect members.
Service providers
We may use infrastructure, authentication, hosting, storage, and related service providers to operate The Bigger Table. They may process information only as needed to provide those services.
Your choices
You can edit profile information, remove needs where available, block members, and report safety concerns. You can permanently delete your account in Account settings, accessible from My Table. Deletion removes your login, profile details, uploaded photos, need descriptions, message text, review comments, and preferences. Active matches close and remaining participants are notified. Shared project records and ratings remain under “Deleted member,” along with other members’ messages and moderation records. Content written by other people, previously delivered emails, saved copies, and backups may retain information. Photo and login cleanup runs automatically after the account is closed.
